Rendering with The GIMP

Introduction

The GIMP (GNU Image Manipulation Program) is an OpenSource project allowing photo retouching, image composition and authoring. You can run it on many computers, including Windows PC, MacOSX, UNIX.

If, like me, when you want to create a script-fu logo using The GIMP, you're getting mad because you don't remember where to look for it, you ought to bookmark this page.

Script-Fu is a family of Plug-Ins that allow many things. Let's see it in pictures below.

Rendering of Script-Fu Logos

Below is the visual render of all the script-fu logos, using their default settings*, then resampled to fit the page.:

* I changed the defaul settings to render Text Circle, and replaced the Font where I didn't have the default font installed on my computer.

Also, every script can be rendered on Alpha Objects (eg. a Black and White logo instead of some typed text).
